We would recommend that you first discuss any such problems with the Psychologist if possible to see if this can be resolved.
If you would rather not do this or still feel unhappy after having discussed it with the Psychologist then please contact us here at PSYCHOLOGY Direct and we will recommend a course of action. It may be that we can offer an alternative Psycholgist for you to see.

Whilst it is preferable to conduct at least the first assessment session in person, we can provide the full service over the phone without you actually meeting the Psychologist if you wish.
You can also undertake a mix of services if you prefer, such as alternate Face to face and telephone sessions.
Please Contact Us to discuss how we can help you further.

This is agreed between you and the Psychologist at the first session. Each session is normally 55 minutes and they are conducted weekly or fortnightly according to your preference and need. The number of sessions is dependant on the progress you make together and this would also be agreed on an ongoing basis between you and the Psychologist.

The service we provide is confidential and there is no need to tell anyone that you are undertaking private treatment unless you wish to. Our Psychologists will not normally divulge any information to a third party unless you ask us to do so.
All of our Psychologists are bound by their professional code of conduct. As part of this they are obliged to inform the relevant authorities if they believe that your life or the life of someone else is at risk. This would always be discussed with you prior to such action being taken.

We understand that you may need to cancel or postpone an appointment. All we ask is that you give us at least 2 working days notice prior to the confirmed appointment time and you will receive a full refund or a rescheduled time if possible.
Cancellations made less than 2 working days prior to the appointment are unfortunately non-refundable.
We are not able to refund missed appointments where no notice is given.

We will need to speak to you briefly on the phone to get some more details about the difficulties you are seeking help for. This is a free, no obligation service which will take about 10 minutes. This gives us an important insight into you and your personal circumstances and ensures we match you with the Psychologist who has the most appropriate skills to help you.
All information is held in the strictest confidence and only passed onto the Psychologist once you have agreed to see them. If afterwards you decide not to see one of our Psychologists your personal information is deleted from our records.
