Research has shown that the effective treatment of psychological factors associated with an accident can significantly increase the speed of a person’s recovery. Your client may present with symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, chronic pain or head injuries. We are able to offer a wide variety of psychologists and therapeutic models to assist them in their psychological rehabilitation, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). In accordance with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines, CBT is recommended for individuals suffering with mental health issues such as:
- Depression and Anxiety
- Phobias and Panic Disorder
- Eating Disorders
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing or EMDR is an evidenced based, focused therapeutic procedure and one of the recommended psychological treatments for PTSD. Through processing traumatic memories with the assistance of a specialist trained psychologist, the client is able to let go of negative feelings associated with traumatic events and to recollect it with out distress. The results can be extremely quick, depending on the complexity of the case.
We are also able to offer specialist neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation for clients who have suffered cognitive, behavioural or emotional impairment through acquired brain injury. This is likely to involve a complex neuropsychological assessment to determine the extent of the injury and to enable the Neuropsychologist to design a treatment plan based on the strengths and weaknesses of the client. Please contact one of our Client Managers for a detailed estimation of cost and timescales.
We are happy to be flexible and to work to your requirements; whether your clients require home visits, evening appointments or cultural requirements, we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.
