Clare Veal is a commercial solicitor and the founder of Aubergine Legal®, a legal consultancy known for providing friendly commercial legal advice. With over two decades of experience – including in-house roles at HSBC and EA Games and some time spent in private practice in London – Clare brings a uniquely pragmatic and straight-forward approach to legal support.
She has advised more than 300 psychology professionals transitioning from NHS roles to private practice, crafting tailored legal templates and resources that make compliance feel achievable, not overwhelming. Clare specialises in intellectual property, data protection, commercial contracts and media/marketing legal issues, with a particular focus on ethical frameworks and client protection in therapeutic settings.
Outside of law, Clare is a Mum to two boys, a creative thinker, and countryside wanderer who loves being in nature and connecting with her friends. She’s passionate about helping psychology practices thrive with legal foundations that feel like solidarity – not just service.
