This course aims to:
increase participants’ understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) which is a less well-known profile on the autism spectrum that requires very different support to other autism profiles.
help develop a tailored, flexible framework of helpful approaches for working with and supporting PDA learners in your setting, whether mainstream, SEN or an autism specific school
About The PDA Society is the only specialist PDA charity in the UK. They are a small team, and all of us have a personal connection with PDA.

My background is in teaching in adult and further education and I hold a non exec directorship with the Parental Engagement Network CIC and I am the Send link governor at my local mainstream academy.
