Understanding the Digital World & Promoting Digital Wellbeing

Event Date: September 17, 2025 4:00 pm

This webinar for Educational Psychologists will share pupil views on the positive and negative impact of engaging with the digital world of social media. These views were gained as part of a wider research project exploring pupil views on mental health and wellbeing conducted by the presenters (Popoola & Sivers, 2024).

We will also consider recent research which looks at the ways children and young people engage with social media and what this means to understanding and supporting adults and young people to engage safely and meaningfully in this ever present digital world.
We will highlight the importance of listening to and learning from the children and young peoples’ experiences and how we can all develop and promote healthy ways of engaging online. This will be an interactive and discussion based session, so come prepared to reflect and share in a group of like-minded professionals.
